Dan, I've been looking at the possible use of the Thieves Guild (AM) Player SHop area and wonder whether it would be a) a good idea, and b) feasible to implement a new Bank in this area.

I realise that all auctions for this area are open to any thief, and so any possible use at this point is speculative.

I would be grateful if you would give some thought as to whether a bank which is primarily a thieves-only operation ( given there are guard thieves ) is a realistic consideration. Either as a player-owned operation, or as a consortium owned enterprise with each thief specialisation represented as part of the governing management. ( Possibly this representation forming part of the duties of specialisation Monitors, or from elected individuals with each specialisation ).

The benefits of such operation could be a low ( 2% or 3% deopsit rate ) to rival or beat all other existsing banks. The possible downsides include the requirement to continue this bank as it would be a Master Counter over several resales, meaning a voluntary acceptance by the guild that 1 bid is made at renewal time ( auction ) to obtain low costs for ongoing operation ( as per parts of KLK administration regarding player shops, banks ), and the loss of opportunity for other usage ( is the current usage high anyways of gambling equipment )?

I know this is not a fully -formed proposal, but I would appreciate your views ( and other monitors ) at this initial feasibilty stage.

Thx, XXXXXX
